“Scandinavian simplicity with a Parisian feminine touch"

Scandienne was created in Paris in 2015 to design from the mixture between Scandinavian utility and the Parisian artistic aesthetic.

I’m Sandra Nicole, a fashion designer turned interior designer and the founder of Scandienne. My approach to interiors begins with the same things that have shaped my work in fashion: proportion, material, colour and the details that make a design feel considered.

I’m drawn to rooms with character and a sense of history, but I believe they should work beautifully for the people who use them today. Through Scandienne, I bring together existing architecture, carefully chosen products and bespoke elements to create interiors that feel personal, cohesive and made to last.

Villa Aurora, our 1899 home in Sweden, is an ongoing expression of this approach. Restoring it has taken me from the overall vision to the practical decisions behind each room: planning layouts, sourcing materials and furnishings, working with craftspeople and refining the smallest details. It is also where my background in fashion and my growing practice in interior design meet.
